Hi all,

I'm trying to determine the equations of boussinesq's pressure bulbs so I can use them in various figures. I'm only finding isobar equations for a point load, does anyone know of a reference where I can find the equations for a strip load?

Various railroad sheeting specs also have the Boussinesq equation for lateral pressure from a strip surcharge load.
