Currently we drill a hole in a 3/8 piece of aluminum just to holt a t-handle in place while its not in use. What I am thinking of is something like a tire balance weight that just crimps to the metal but I can't find what I am looking for. See pictures below.

Something like this but without the T part. (This would work if we weren't buying lanyards already crimped into a loop. Looking for something super cheap to make adding these lanyards faster in the manufacturing process.

Ask the lanyard supplier to use those?

Great idea! I am not sure who our supplier is, if we order them as is, etc. but I will look down that path!

Or you get a flat ring lug crimped in the other end of the cable and use that nearby mounting screw as a place to fix it.
