P.A.M Winding Diagram 6 & 10 pole 90 Slots

(OP)
Dear All,

I am looking for a 6 & 10 pole P.A.M Internal Connection Diagram. 90 Slots

Thanks

Petronila

petronila Not sure, but the PAM design (regardless of pole count) might still be under patent to Westinghouse (now TECO Westinghouse, based just outside Austin TX). Chances are the factory will NOT give you (or sell you) a connection diagram - they're still in the business of repair and rewind, in addition to new equipment.

Have done a few PAM windings. There is no 6/10 pole, 90 slot winding afaik. 54, 60, 72, 108, 120 & 144 slots with a few 2 speed combos, but not 90 slots.

RE: P.A.M Winding Diagram 6 & 10 pole 90 Slots

Many years ago we had a similar case: 10/6 poles but with 72 slots.
I'll try to find that diagram. It might be possible to convert it to 90 slots, although it's a painstaking job.
As I recall, the winding was with a 9 leads out, PPM type rather than PAM, with a combined YD connection for 10 poles and 3Y connection for 6 poles.
I don't know what it is about but maybe it is simpler to make that motor with two separate windings if it is feasible?
