Water-Based Systems Layout Renewal requirements - Do I understand this correctly?

Water-Based Systems Layout Renewal requirements - Do I understand this correctly?

Do I understand it correctly that all I need is 18 additional points for NICET renewal?

My certificate expires October 1, 2022.

I applied for renewal on July 1st and have yet to receive notification that my certificate has been renewed.

I work full time so I have my active practitioner points of 72

To hold a license in Florida a layout technician is required to have a minimum of 32 state approved CPD hours (points) every other NICET NICET renewal I actually end up with 64 hours which happened this cycle period.

I received 32 credit hours in October, 2019 and another 32 credit hours in October, 2021 for a total of 64 continuing education hours. Add to this another 6 credit hours for stuff taken online and I've accumulated 70 educational CPD's plus the 72 for working full time which gives me 142 CPD'S.

I wonder why NICET is taking so long to renew my certificate or am I just being jumpy?

Last time I renewed, I believe it took almost two months for them to approve and release.

DennisR4, seems to be a common thing I just received the email informing me my certificate has been renewed.

I literally applied for renewal on July 1 and received it on August 18.

That's is 48 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date.

Now I can forget about it for 2 years and 8 months.

RE: Water-Based Systems Layout Renewal requirements - Do I understand this correctly?

Last time I renewed it look a good while. I didn't worry too much because everything was documented and NICET will come around if you give them evidence you submitted things on time.

Much in the same vein: I passed my Level IV test on 7/22/22. Still waiting for them to review my experience application. They say they have 90 days from the date I passed the test, and it looks like they are going to use almost all of that time...
