Autonomous swarming drones

Autonomous swarming drones

RE: Autonomous swarming drones

Very cool. I interviewed for a job couple years ago that makes drones. Neat stuff! Unfortunately someone else got it.
Signed NDA, can't say what I saw. noevil

RE: Autonomous swarming drones

No doubt they can do some crazy stuff with drones these days (I like the nighttime drone displays at events where we'd normally see fireworks).

I'm kind of lost as to what is the real world application of these swarming drones through a crowded environment . Maybe just a good prank to really mess with the head of some pothead doing drugs in the woods!?! (Dude, WTF is that. Whoa...)

They highlight in the video that the swarm has the ability to follow a target person even if the view of one or two drones is occluded. But why do we need for drones to track people?!? Is that like big brother on steroids?

(2B)+(2B)' ?

RE: Autonomous swarming drones

But why do we need for drones to track people

People are harder to track than most any other opponent, so if you can track them, you can track vehicles, planes, ships, etc. While the scenario depicted is relatively benign, one can easily imagine the Ukrainians using such drones take out Russian soldiers in Ukrainian forests, or even Belarussian or Russian forests. And you can probably make book that the US military is doing similar things.

RE: Autonomous swarming drones

I was at my son's house, talking in backyard. I heard a weird noise, but couldn't figure it out.
A little later heard again, it was a palm sized drone hovering maybe 40 feet above us!

Nothing private anymore.

Out with the 12ga... they're like ducks!

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Do you feel any better?

RE: Autonomous swarming drones

I wish! I love to use them as target practice. But, here in CA I would have a life sentence for murdering a pigeon.
