I passed Level IV in November of 2019. Here is what I suggest:

1. Review the suggested reference material published by NICET. I was familiar with the NFPA references but did thumb through the other books.
2. Take a first pass at the questions and answer all the easy ones that do not require a look up or is an easy lookup.
3. On the second pass, answer the questions that require some time or simple calculations.
4. On the third pass answer all the tough questions that take lots of time.
5. As a senior tech exam, you may have management questions and project management questions which should be no problem.
6. There isn't really any prep material to prepare you for the exam. I studied my old NFSA manuals and just forgot about obsolete things like large drop sprinklers.
7. The 4.5 hours goes by pretty quick so make sure you don't get bogged down on any single question. If you hit a trouble question, skip it for later and get the other points first.
8. I scheduled it for the weekend so no work crap could sabotage my taking the exam.

Thanks @MGXFP! I'm pretty familiar with the NFPA references, as I am in them everyday. Everyone seems to say there is no good study material, which is why I was asking. I scheduled mine for a Friday, so I could be distracted by work as little as possible. Hopefully end the week on a high note. Will see how it pans out!

So, I pushed my test date back once, due to us being busy at work. Finally took it this past Friday, the 22nd. The first half seemed pretty easy. I didn't get hung up on too many questions, and finished it with 45 mins to go back and review all the questions. Decided to take the allotted break, as I drank too much Mountain Dew on the way to the test center. When I finished the break, and jumped into the second half, I was wondering if the test was even written in English (kidding). The second half was much harder in my opinion. I finished it with only 15 minutes to spare. Barely had time to review all the questions. Walked out not feeling too sure about how it went. So, it was quite a pleasant surprise when the Test Center Lady handed me my results, and I PASSED!!!

That was a pretty tough test, but it seemed to cover everything NICET said it would. Glad it is behind me now!
