Welding symbols
Welding symbols
(OP)
Good afternoon,
I want to know the welding symbols and annotations that must be put on a plane that has some bolts welded on it. I have seen it called resistance welding. I attach an image.
Thanks

Typically as part of weld qualification test studs are welded and are hammered 90 degrees and are expected to not fail in the weld.

Also, TYP has been suggested to not be used for repetitive callouts but rather a value with an X; ie 24X.

It is not the same as resistance spot welding.
It does not use the same symbol as resistance spot welds.
It is not the same as taking a bolt, or a stud, or a length of threaded rod and welding it to something with some other type of weld.
Depending on size the process is either:

or
