ABAQUS 'Section must not self intersect' for complex geometry on part creation

(OP)
Morning all,

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to turn off 'self intersection checks' when creating a part from a relatively complex import geometry from AutoCAD. Having read online, I'm aware the accuracy of the mesh and analysis will be inaccurate but mainly curious if there is a way to disable this function or if simplifying the geometry to a 'simflied ABAQUS geometry' is the only way forward.

Thanks for the help
