You could try the newly implemented additive manufacturing process simulation features to simulate welding but the toolpath must be defined in a Cartesian coordinate system. Another way would be to use the free AWI plug-in (available only for version 2017) or its commercial successor called QustomWeld. Of course, you can also model it just with the use of subroutines but it should be much easier with one of these ready-made solutions.
