Dear all,

i like to confirm my understanding of the limit for balanced bellows relief valves.. can you get a valve with a set pressure and balanced bellows below 1 barg?

i Dont believe so but i wanted to check

thanks in advance

It's not always possible from any manufacturers standard range, especially with bellows.

What is the actual set pressure?

Some can modify an existing design by having lightweight internals and/or requiring the PRV to be installed (and tested) upside down.

You state bellows presumably because of back pressure?

Size of PRV is a big influencer too, as is the tolerance of setting so low a pressure.

What is your application? fluid set/back pressure etc.

*** Per ISO-4126, the generic term 'Safety Valve' is used regardless of application or design ***

*** 'Pressure-relief Valve' is the equivalent ASME/API term ***
