From Engineering to HR and planning to return to Engineering, opinion?

From Engineering to HR and planning to return to Engineering, opinion?

From Engineering to HR and planning to return to Engineering, opinion?

(OP)
Hello,

Previously, I worked for a few years with C&S consultant. However, due to some workplace conflicts that harmed my mental health, I resigned from my position. I've been working in HR and data for nearly three years now. I recently realized that I am not suited to these fields and am considering returning to engineering.

It would be helpful to hear other people's perspectives to help me plan for my future career.

Have a wonderful day and be safe!

What makes you happy and fulfilled? Do that.

I suspect that is a difficult transition in large companies. The reason is that as an HR person you are familiar with much that goes on behind the curtain, so putting you back in with the general inmates can only cause trouble.

So long as you've not completely turned into a rusted hulk, there shouldn't be an issue, other than having to explain why, and possibly taking a paycut.

I hope not, but you may find the transition even more stressfull. This can be a difficult transition.
