thread815-473871: Bridge failure during launch, Umeå, Sweden.

A reminder of the disaster

It has been a long process geting back to square one, and they are far from it yet.
Now the "preliminary" finishing date is late 2022.

2021 Nov 6: The first thing they did was to take down the mold with a special robot and the parts are dropped to the ground.
Eventually, parts will also be dropped into the Ume River. They will then be captured by contractors in boats.

The special robot at work

2022 Mars 30: The Damage investigation report came and it was decided it was to be covered by the insurance.

2022 Okt: They have put in a support that holds up the end of the bridge.

2022 Okt 28: Now they are going to build temporary supports close to the ordinary bridge pillars so they can examen them since they do not know how damaged the pillars are
And it's a lot of security around all the work done now because of it.
It's not going fast and soon it's winter too.

Update.

Quote (UPDATED 18 FEBRUARY 2022 Published 18 FEBRUARY 2022)

The bridge over the Ume River that will connect the Western Link will not be completed and will not be opened to traffic until July 2023 at the earliest.
The Swedish Transport Administration announces this.

It is over a year and a half since the accident occurred and the bridge beam slipped out and was bent at the bridge foundations. Since then, low-intensity work has been going on to safely remedy the accident.

Now, they are ready for a first lift of the beam - which in a first stage will be lifted five centimeters.

- Safety is most important, nothing unforeseen must happen, says Magnus Ahlskog, site manager.

However, the work has taken time and on Friday the Swedish Transport Administration announced that the previous forecast to complete the bridge before the turn of the year does not hold - now the aim is to open the bridge in July 2023 instead.

Could somebody please put this on a map, or Lat-Long. Thanks.
