Repeat Region Automatization

Repeat Region Automatization

Repeat Region Automatization

(OP)
Hello Guys!

Is there any way to control the flat/recursive property inside a repeat region with a relation?
In my top level assembly there are two type of sub-assemblies:
- auxiliary assembly for model building
- the assemblies what are form a separate assembly unit during the real assembling process
In the BOM list of the top level assembly I would like to show only the parts of the second type assemblies. About the other assemblies will be made a new drawing with a separate BOM list. Manually I can set the Flat/Recursive properties assembly by assembly, but I would like to automatize this process with the help of a relation inside the repeat region what can set the Recursive/Flat property based on an assembly variable what show the type of the assembly.

Thanks for your help!
T.

RE: Repeat Region Automatization

As far as I know repeat regions run a program against the assembly components without regard to their contents to generate a table of entries and then filters are applied to remove entries from that list before the final display. The evaluation of the relations is on a per-item basis as each entry is generated. There is no opportunity to change the program from within the output data to change the recursion.

It may be possible to write a relation that generates a parameter that is then used to filter out unwanted entries.
