Hi Structure Engineers,
I have question on the residential under floor pier that supports Girder and floor joist above...that I saw often in CA.
What kind of Girder bracing here (sure it s Simpson Tie), should it be described, in tech term, "pin ?.
Should the piers only be used as midspan support rather than end support, like it here ? Thx.
