I have been reading recently this book. It is very interesting and has great content. I would like ask if any of you know any other similar, more modern, of course focused on structural design with such great figures. I would totally recommend this to anyone intrested in the way the engines are structured and calculated. https://www.amazon.de/Konstruktion-der-Luftstrahlt...

Hmmm... suggest you will get more response with English translation of the Amazon Book review.

IS this book available in a printed English translation? I would surprised if it does not already exist. Help us to understand what You are really asking about.

Well, I didn't manage to find an English version of that. I got a copy from the German version, and as I can do German, I gave it a go. I am relatively new to the industry of axial turbine engines structural design, and I am looking resources specifically for this field. This could be machine elements on turbine engines, calculations, detailed or preliminary structural design

This book basically guides you through drawings explaining components from a structural perspective, machine elements, different types and technologies (e.g. details on different rotor blade connections, sealings, bearings, interaction of components). I really enjoyed it since I did not find any other resource with this approach.

As far as I am concerned this one : "Sawyer's Gas Turbine Engineering Handbook 1985" has also some stuff in regard with structural design of jet engines. However I didn't have a chance on this copy yet.

So I would basically say that I am looking for a structural design oriented resource for jet engines.

SE...

Gas Turbine engine design [power-take-off shaft] references/guides/manuals equivalent to a German language reference, that most of us may never have dealt-with, is a 'tall order' for this rotorcraft thread. Unfortunately, I couldn't clearly locate any suitable E-T forum for gas turbine engines.

Hope someone has a clue card.

Thank you for the reply!

Yes I could not find any relevant forum for that!
