Filler beam bridge deck design example

I am struggling to find a filler beam design example for a road bridge - if you happen to have one handy and were willing to share that would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

RE: Filler beam bridge deck design example

I'm not familiar with that term. Perhaps if you would share some detail about what the purpose of the beam is, I could guide you.

RE: Filler beam bridge deck design example

Agree with BridgeSmith, more information is needed. Are you referring to a temporary beam that supports the deck during phased construction?

RE: Filler beam bridge deck design example

Filler beam deck is essentially a reinforced concrete encased steel beam section.

RE: Filler beam bridge deck design example

Ah...Eurocode...that's why it wasn't familiar. I don't have any designs for one of those. I've seen a few, but they're so old, I don't even think the designs are on file. Our department hasn't done one in the last 50 years.

Thanks, gusmurr.

I have seen the presentation - does anyone have a link to UIC Code 773 mentioned there?
