How to build a Helical Circular sweep?

How to build a Helical Circular sweep?

RE: How to build a Helical Circular sweep?

Equation-driven curve is perfect for this.

RE: How to build a Helical Circular sweep?

Thanks for your advice.
I have found help on single helix in parametric form.
Any ideas on how to make it for a double helix?Link
Thanks and sincerely

RE: How to build a Helical Circular sweep?

The epicycles are additive. (What the heck does that mean?)

The base equation is a circle, with a helical epicycle added to it. You have a big spiral and a small spiral. You can have either cycle added singly to the circle. You can also simply add the two cycles to the circle. You can do this for any number of cycles.

RE: How to build a Helical Circular sweep?

Yes, that is double layer helix.
I don't have the parametric form for it though. I will do some more search on it

This may work better in a cylindrical or spherical reference frame.
