Pipeline isolating device: Is there anything newer or better?
(OP)
Hi everybody
I'm looking for the art's state about Pipeline isolating devices.
I see the typical and well known Monoblock joints and/or flanged joints, but someone knows about some improvement in this technical or any better or newer device to isolating catodically protected pipelines?
Thanks in advance

What sort of improvement or "better" did you have in mind?
I think these are in the box of "If it isn't broken why fix it?"
Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

I'm not looking for an specific improvement. But it has been the same for a long time.
I was reviewing the standards: NACE RP 0286 becomes SP0286 in 2007 and it has been all about it.
As you say: If it isn't broken why fix it?

MONOLITHIC INSULATION JOINTS

Best located where bending moment is low, i.e. not on a gooseneck at a pig launcher or receiver.
