Dear all. Hello! I have a question

Dear all. Hello! I have a question

(OP)
Dear all. Hello!
I have a question. would you please help me?
In our attached P&ID, reflux valve (FV-111) transfer reflux liquid coming from reflux compressor to demethanizer. Here is the problem: The reflux flow through FV-111 decreases with time, although opening of FV-111 is constant. How can that happened? Also, the bypass glove valve is producing lots of noise. Why?!
Thanks in advance.

RE: Dear all. Hello! I have a question

Not to guess why the flow through FV-111 was decreased. But, the noise from the bypass globe valve of the FV-111 could be due to the flow leaking through it.
What's the record of the maintenance and inspection history about it?

RE: Dear all. Hello! I have a question

If there's noise from the bypass valve, then there's flow passing through the valve.

RE: Dear all. Hello! I have a question

FIC setpoint is obviously too high. There is insufficient reflux being produced in the MCHE. There can be many reasons for insufficient cooling if the FIC SP is correct.
Maybe the reflux compressor capacity has dropped?

And kindly put something in the subject line the next time you post, please and thank you.
