The video shows how a non-linear valve can be modeled.
The same program works with linear valves too.
My problem is that I don't have a HPU big enough to really push the valve at higher frequencies.

I wonder if hydraulic design will ever become advanced enough where accurate models of all parts of a hydraulic system will be needed.
Jack Johnson use to write about modeling hydraulic pumps. He didn't get far. He tried to organize something but nothing happened.
I can model pumps to if I have the data.
I know how model things. I have known how for 15+ years.
The problem is that I sell motion controllers and I am not in the business of modeling pumps and valves.
Maybe some day there will be a HL ( hydraulic laboratories ) that will test and certify hydraulic parts just like there is for electrical parts.
This way parts from different manufacturers can be accurately compared. Also this would relieve companies from having to do their own testing because most people, like me, don't have the necessary equipment to do testing thoroughly.
