Can polycarbonate be used for screwdriver handle?

Anything reasonably solid can be used for a screwdriver handle... even a bundle of duct tape.

The go-to material is cellulose acetate:
While polycarbonate can used, if you are doing this for a product, why change? Your material of choice has to conform to customer expectations for look and feel, wear, chemical resistance, surface damage, etc.

Speaking of chemical resistance, polycarbonate basically has none.
