Civil Engineering Curriculum

Civil Engineering Curriculum

Civil Engineering Curriculum

My name is Steven and I'm looking for advice on a particular civil engineering program through Penn Foster. PF has a civil engineering curriculum for their work development program. After looking over the curriculum it seems pretty intense including Calculus and Analytic Geometry. Once you complete the program you earn a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology. Does anyone have experience with this program or advice about the legitimacy of these topics. It's a distant learning program focused on self-learning. I've attached a copy of the curriculum here if anyone wouldn't mind looking over it.

Thank you

RE: Civil Engineering Curriculum

Are you wanting to eventually get NICET certified in a civil engineering technology program? If so NICET may grant you some experience based on your education.

I would check if the degree program is ETAC or ABET accredited. If the program is not I suggest you find another school that is accredited.

RE: Civil Engineering Curriculum

Good advice. Thanks. The program is not ETAC or ABET accredited. I may contact NICET to see what they say about this program. It covers a lot of material, but actually no instructors are providing feedback.
