Explosion Proof Local Exhaust Ventilation sourcing (or diy options)

Explosion Proof Local Exhaust Ventilation sourcing (or diy options)

I work for a nutraceuticals company that utilizes ethanol extraction. While there is ventilation integrated throughout the lab, there are areas with higher concentrations of ethanol vaporization in need of mitigation. I am looking into sourcing explosion proof local exhaust ventilation units with vapor compatible filters (either HEPA, activated carbon or a hybrid) and have not had much luck so far. Does anyone know of any manufacturers or suppliers with suitable safety ratings?

Alternatively, since customized units require significant lead time, I am considering building my own for temporary use. If this is my best option, I will source an explosion proof elephant trunk, fan, molecular sieve/activated carbon filter and vacuum capture (or pressure swing). Has anyone done this? I am hoping for advice re: methods and materials to ensure I don't waste my company's time/money while offering an affordable interim solution (assuming I can find a high quality EP LEV).

Any vendors and help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! I want to ensure my coworkers are healthy and safe.

Thank you!

Why HEPA filters as these are used for hazardous dust or fibers such as asbestos.
