This query is in relation to HMD sealless pump silicon carbide sleeve bearings.
In the above mentioned pump IOM, it is mentioned that the front and back sleeve bearings have to be installed in a way that their grooves are at an angle of 20 degree away from a reference point (a small hole) on the bush holder.
May I know the reason behind this 20 degree?
And what happen if front and back grooves are not aligned?
