IEEE C37.101 on generator ground fault protection advises grounding of one of the line terminals on VT secondary side (and keeping star point ungrounded). This is to avoid maloperation of Generator ground fault protection which is set sensitive in case of high resistance grounded unit transformer - generators.
Is this practice still followed by any of the utilities??
Vendors like GE and Siemens do not seem to recommend this any more.
