agitator for tanks
agitator for tanks
(OP)
Dear all,
My question is about hydrolysis tanks with agitator.
What kind of function(sine, cosine etc..) do these loads affect?
Loads from agıtator:
Axial Force : 12320 N
Torque : 5840 Nm
Bending Momentt : 6650 Nm
Weight of Agitator : 1900 kgs
Stiffess for agitator flanfe : 10 times the lx-vale for drive shaft 718 cm^4
Net shaft Power : 9,5 kW
Thank you in advance.

Do you mean that statical conditions are more critical?
Thanks
RE: agitator for tanks
What Mr. Stephen is trying to say is that when a static analysis is done with a agitator vendor supplied load, you have done "adequate engineering"
Yes, some very fine analytical tools exist for a detailed dynamic analysis. You can develop some fierce FEA models and analyze the structure at various speeds, various harmonics etc. etc. etc.
You can certainly devote months of engineering analysis time to each agitator.... make some beautiful reports.
But, the "quick and dirty" equivalent static analysis is what most engineering companies offer ....
My opinion only ...
