Dear all,
My question is regarding the lifting of a Geodesic Dome Roof which is being lifted from inside the tank using Trifors(72 nos), the question is: what is the maximum tolerance allowed from edge to edge while lifting the dome roof.
For your information below are the load conditions;
Diameter = ~100 metres
Total Weight = ~125000 kg

That's something you'd need to refer to the dome supplier/designer.
Generally, if the whole thing is tilted with a uniform tilt, I wouldn't expect a problem.
The bigger problem being unequal lifting between adjacent or nearby supports.
