how frequent should we flush mechanical seal system? like plan 52 and 53 for instant

We drain and flush the seal pots on Plan 52 systems once per year. For plan 53, there should be less process contamination entering the pot. We change that barrier fluid every three years.

That is just our practice. I am not aware of any relevant standard.
