1) Do we have a only option of Coriolis meter for density measurement?

2) which is the best suitable flow meter for slurry applications?

RE: Flow meter selection

1) Coriolis meters give you a density output because there is a densitomoter in the flowmeter package. You can also purchase a densitometer separately if you wish.

RE: Flow meter selection

May consult with vendors of either mag flow meter or ultrasonic flow meter, which are no obstruction of flow path and suitable for the slurry application.

RE: Flow meter selection

What slurry are you measuring?

And how important is accuracy? Using a Coriolis for non custody transfer seems excessive.

RE: Flow meter selection

Cost aside, I prefer to use the best available technology to perform any type of measurement function. If I needed an accurate flowmeter and also density measurement, I would specify a coriolis meter. You would have to contact a vendor to match it's suitability for slurry, particularly if you are transferring abrasives. I do not know of any other flow measurement technology that will also deliver density measurement.

It's all okay as long as it's okay.

RE: Flow meter selection

what is your budget ?
E+H, Micro motion is good, also expensive,
while some chinese coriolis flow meter supply low cost around USD 3500-5000 USD depending on the mass flow meter size.
