CONWEP blasting interaction

CONWEP blasting interaction

(OP)
Hi,
I am fairly inexperienced in Abaqus, and just wanted to know if the CONWEP interaction in abaqus would be suitable to model a blast in an underground mining tunnel? I have used a surface blast in the interaction on a rock face in the tunnel but my results are not corresponding to existing data. I assume this is because my mesh is fairly messy and my boundary conditions arent solid. I have tried using JWL EoS with adaptive meshing but couldn't successfully model a blast. I am using CONWEP since its very easy to implement, but is it suitable for this type of blast simulation?

Thanks in advance guys!
