Draped Slab

Draped Slab

I have come across a roof system that looks to use a fabric and wire type of mesh draped between open web joist spaced roughly 2'-6" O.C. I am having trouble finding any information on this type of system and was posting this to see if anyone can provide information on this system. I have attached a photo showing the condition.

RE: Draped Slab

I feel like slideruleera.net might have some info based on this configuration in one of his files. I know I've seen it somewhere posted.

RE: Draped Slab

Thanks for the advice. I have looked through the slideruleera.net site with no luck yet. But will keep at it, hoping to come across something.

RE: Draped Slab

I know someone on this forum has some literature for exactly this scenario where they used to provide chairs only over the joists and let the welded wire mesh drape itself.

RE: Draped Slab

Thanks for sending over the links for the documents it seems to be similar to what is shown on page 4 figure 1.
