Hi there,

I want to prepare some connectors for optical quartz fibers. Some with multiple fibers (previous post) some with FC/PC connectors.

The fibers we use have 3 materials: core, cladding and outer buffer.

Is it "mandatory" to remove the buffer to prepare the connectors?

Will it make the polishing more difficult? In our case it is made of Polymide, Acrylate or Ethylen-Tetrafluorethylen-Copolymer (Tefzel)

thanks
