Hello - I am designing some equipment that will go on an ROV. I am interested in the best materials selection guide for it. I know of the EEMUA 194, but I wanted to make sure it is useful for ROV equipment before I buy it.

I assume that periodically submerged equipment like ROVs have less stringent material requirements for corrosion abatement than production equipment that could be subsea for 20+ years, though I don't know that to be true. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to treat material selection differently when you are bringing it out of the water every day and hosing it off?

Thank you
