thread2-220712 general fastener bending strength is given by equations 6-17 and 6-18 from NASA-STD-5020 Rev NEW. The ultimate bearing strength allowables at room temp are given in the Bruhn Supplement in Table A45 (page A21) for steel bolt and screw fasteners. In general the ultimate bending strength, Fbu = 1.60 * Ftu
