Does anyone know if there are any 3 Output Differentials with an output ratio of 1/3 available? I designed one, trying to verify if mine is the first design. I have seen designs for output ratios of 50:25:25, but haven't come across any that distribute power equally.

Please let me know if any of you have come across such design. I would also like to know any possible uses for it. If you know of any, please let me know.

Thank You.

One planetary gearset with a ring gear having twice the teeth of the sun gear. Input is to the planet carrier, one of the outputs is from the sun gear (which takes one-third of the input torque). Ring gear (which takes two-thirds of the input torque) drives a conventional differential that splits the remaining torque in two.

Planetary differentials or torque-splitting devices are not new.

Check out Funk (John Deere)PTO drives or maybe Cotta Transmission.
