Information Regarding Grove G4 Gate Valve

Information Regarding Grove G4 Gate Valve

(OP)
Hello all,

I'm working on a project and require information on a Grove G4 valve. Specifically, I need some sort of reference for Cv values or a characteristic curve for this valve. Unfortunately, I have scoured the web and can't seem to find any useful resources out there. I've contacted Cameron but haven't heard back yet. I'm hoping that someone here might potentially have any sort of resources that can help me out. I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks

RE: Information Regarding Grove G4 Gate Valve

This reference gives a typical full bore gate valve https://www.flowcontrol.no/wp-content/uploads/2013...

This ref has a curve and from elsewhere gate valves tend to be linear or slightly below linear, in opening percent vs CV

Gate valves are not good control valves. Why do you need this information?
Cameron probably don't want you to use this expensive double seated valve as a control valve.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Thanks for the info! I'm performing a transient analysis of an existing pipeline and this is the model that are used as the valves at the mainline pump stations, so I'm not making any decisions on the valve selection. Note that one of the valves is just a MOV but there is one control valve of this type. I've only been supplied with the valve model and it's travel time, but I require its characteristic curve to model a sudden valve closure transient event. In the absence of data specific to this valve than I may use your information and assume they are close enough.
