In a previous thread regarding API-6D valves, someone stated "API 6D is also only parallel slide gate valves and it requires bonnet venting for certain services". I'm wondering if he was trying to say that API 6D only applies to Parallel slide gate valves, as opposed to, any other type of gate valve, or if he's trying to say that API 6D only applies to Parallel Slide Gate valves period?
This is just to say that other types of valves are readily available in API 6D so if anyone had read that post, please research before making a decision.
