Direct mounting pad for sanitary butterfly valve!!

Direct mounting pad for sanitary butterfly valve!!

Direct mounting pad for sanitary butterfly valve!!

(OP)
Hey there!

I was looking at sanitary butterfly valves from alfa laval, pentair etc. They don't provide sanitary butterfly valve with direct mounting actuator pad to mount actuators directly on that (i.e. for other valves, manufacturers provide direct mounting actuator pad according to ISO 5211). Also, they mostly prefer cannister type actuator on that valve with pneumatic controller in pharmaceutical/ sanitary industry.

Wondering, why do they prefer this kind of actuators and why don't they provide direct mountig actuator pad on valve to directly mount actuators on that? Any speicific reason behind that?

Thank you in advance,

RE: Direct mounting pad for sanitary butterfly valve!!

Any commercial valve range is produced to cover the demands of the market. For sanitary markets the actuators used are mostly manual.
If automated, actuators areoften integrated with the valve to offer an easily cleaned unit, Interfaces for separately mounted actuators are probably not at an interesting commercial demand and will also increase unsanitary surfaces.
