Do ductile iron pipes with bitumen external coating achieve a good bond with the concrete manhole in wastewater (sewerage) applications? How else could satisfactory bond be attained?

Bitumen is a good bond breaker. The only way to seal a penetration through a concrete or brick wall effectively is to fit a pipe with a puddle flange.
