Good Day,

We always use the Echo-meter for the fluid shot which will be taken inside the casing to measure the fluid level and calculate the down hole intake pressures.

Was echo-meter been used before in the well head to detect the tubing holes by the acoustic graph?
And how can it detect the holes? since detecting a tubing hole for an ESP well can be really confusing.

It sounds like you are comparing ultrasound to determine liquid level in a well with ultra sound used for flaw inspection ( UT). I would say they are much more different than "apples and oranges". Or are you referring to ultrasound used to detect leaks during a pressure test ?

High_Volt, I have heard about detecting holes in tubing the way you are describing by using two fluid level guns. One is tied to the casing, one is tied to the tubing, and then you shoot down the tubing but listen using both guns. Google "echometer hole in tubing" and click on the first link. The first link is an ARLDC document titled "Holes in Tubing" where it looks like they are only using one gun tied to the tubing.
