Limestone as CaCO3 and Fly ash (Coal Fly ash) are used as flux in Petcoke(High Vanadium content) Gasification unit under reducing atomsphere to minimise fusion temperature of petcoke. The fusion temperature is important as it affect the refractory life. Petcoke quality remains more or less consistent. So, to minimise Fusion temperature of petcoke what should be the Base/Acid ratio to operate gasifier at 1400 deg C ?
