Hi, I have received following 15 way with 160A Incoming in 15 nos. 63A outgoing welding receptacle Distribution board (PDB) calculation from my Engg Consultant.
Total nos. of WR connected to each PDB = 15 Nos. (Max)
Average load of each WR = 30 KVA
Load factor for each WR = 0.7
Diversity factor = 0.3 (Intermittent load)
Hence total load on each PDB = 94.5 KVA
Incomer current rating required = 131.4728 A
Hence incomer rating selected of 160A is adequate.

Here my query is whether in plant shutdown duration when most of welding receptacles shall be in use, sizing as per above with diversity factor =0.3 will become inadequate as in that case diversity factor = 1.0.
