ASME VIII-1 UG-28; when L/D >> 50

As my last question in this thread did not receive any further commentary, I hope this thread will. Im looking for advice/tips when L/D is far greater than 50. ASME VIII-1 says you can assume L/D=50, but is it safe for all values of L/D>50? Any thouhgts are appreciated.

RE: ASME VIII-1 UG-28; when L/D >> 50
