Geotextile testing in Ontario, Canada

Geotextile testing in Ontario, Canada

Geotextile testing in Ontario, Canada

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a certified geotech lab to do some testing on a sample geotextile I have. I couldn't find any in Ontario so far.
I am currently in Quebec but the lab here (apparently there is only one that does geotextile testing) is not able to do the tests.
I don't want to ship the sample all the way to the west coast to Alberta or BC.

Any help would be appreciated!

RE: Geotextile testing in Ontario, Canada

Have you checked with Exp., they are the old TROW group. They may have branches in Quebec, but, they had a Toronto office and likely still do. They used to be an extremely good group and I had used them often.

RE: Geotextile testing in Ontario, Canada

Yes..., as dik noted, exp can do. They have offices in many locations with head office in Brampton, Ontario (near Toronto). They have numerous offices in Quebec. Their Montreal office address is:

Montréal, QC (1001, boul. De Maisonneuve Ouest)

1001, boul. De Maisonneuve Ouest, bureau 800-B
Montréal, QC H3A 3C8

Phone: +1.514.788.6158
Fax: +1.514.935.1645

Here's a link to all their offices in North America....

disclosure.....I am not affiliated with exp; however, I was once a partner with The Trow Group, their predecessor and know their reputation and capability. dik's assessment is correct, in my opinion.

RE: Geotextile testing in Ontario, Canada

Thanks, Ron... At the time of my involvement with them, they were the best testing agency I had ever encountered

dik...I was a partner with Trow from 1983 to 1989 and was their US affiliate. They have always been a topnotch organization.
