Thank you for your help. RE: pipe materials choice metengr (Materials) 22 Mar 17 17:06 Your next step is to have an analysis of the filtered water to determine corrosivity. The temperature is also important. Once this information is known, you can decide on metallic or FRP piping systems. RE: pipe materials choice weldstan (Materials) 23 Mar 17 23:01 Other plastic pipes are listed in B31.3 which may be most economical primarily depending on size, temperature and whether buried or above ground installations. RE: pipe materials choice DSB123 (Mechanical) 24 Mar 17 11:41 What is "Filtred" Water?? RE: pipe materials choice moltenmetal (Chemical) 24 Mar 17 16:28 Water which has been "filtered" has generally been filtered for a reason. Putting it into steel piping is going to rapidly result in a decrease in the quality of that water unless it has also been scrupulously de-oxygenated. Plastic piping has huge advantages for handling water. Corrosion resistance is only one of them.
