What do you think about Oculus Rift + CAD Design?

When do you think that technology will be available? Who will be leading this new way of CAD design?

RE: What do you think about Oculus Rift + CAD Design?

Intriguing to think about. I'm guessing several years before any CAD software company even thinks about this. Decades probably.

How do you picture the interface? I'm having trouble seeing how using VR for CAD modeling would be advantageous, aside from how cool the visual aspect would be. I suppose you could get a more realistic spacial feel for your designs, especially if they were very large.
