Can anyone help me source some information on the calculation of multi-hole restricting orifices?  I have a number of cavitation problems around my plant that the use of single and multiple plates have been unable to solve.

RE: Multi-hole Restricting Orifice

I have an article on sizing multiple restriction orifices in series if you want a copy (email me at testdog2000@yahoo.com) but nothing on multiple orifices in the same plate.

RE: Multi-hole Restricting Orifice

Sand~

Restriction plates can only do so much and in some cases case more problems than the solve.

I've got an R.O. sizing calc. that allows predictions for single and multiple hole designs. Easy enough to run a calculation for you, but I"ll need your contact and service details,

RE: Multi-hole Restricting Orifice

Hacksaw, I'd be very interested in a copy of that sizing calc also if you'd be so generous?  testdog2000@yahoo.com

RE: Multi-hole Restricting Orifice

TD2K-

the offer was to run a calc not provide the code. too many man years in it (mine) to give it away.

RE: Multi-hole Restricting Orifice

Ops, my mistake.  Thought it was a paper you had, understand the concern.

RE: Multi-hole Restricting Orifice

Np,

the calc is simple enough, you can easily do it as a spread sheet with the "solver" function. The only difference is that the code develops the fluid data with less grief.

Sand~ your email bounced
