Good Day Everybody,
Can anyone help me with any book which indicates all the valve and instrumentation types that are used in Fossil power plant?
Like feed-water control valve, blowdown valve, safety valve, etc, and its use.
Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,

RE: Fossil Power Plant (equipment)

What level of book?

For basic stuff like you seem to be asking about, find yourself a boiler house somewhere nearby, introduce yourself to the operators, and ask if they have any Stationary or Operating Engineering materials around. Only a very few of them bite! smile

RE: Fossil Power Plant (equipment)

There is some information in Bahadori's book "Essentials of Oil and Gas Utilities: Process Design, Equipment, and Operations": try this link (Google books): Essentials of Oil and Gas Utilities

The best thing is to refer to relevant codes (ASME).

RE: Fossil Power Plant (equipment)

This is the oldest and, IMHO, best introductory book on fossil power plants:

No, I cannot give it to you for free ....
