Missouri PE

I am considering taking on a smallish project in Missouri which may requir[spoiler]e me to obtain a MO PE license. I am licensed out of state (NY + CA), so it would be by comity. Does anyone have experience with Missouri? Are they as difficult to deal with as Texas with their criminal background checks and ethics exam?

Thanks guys, good to know MO are not too precious in MO about this. I have been scarred by my Texas experience and have been gun shy ever since. The experience of heading down to the central police station to stand in line with a bunch of criminals to get fingerprinted so I could have my FBI background check completed was too much.

RE: Missouri PE

yea, Texas was a bit unique.
Best of success!

RE: Missouri PE

I was irritated ALL of the information needed to completely strip my identity (SSN, birthdate, fingerprints, signature, address, birth city and state - plus the bank info on the check I needed to pay them!) was in a single envelope going to a lowest-bid Illinois contractor who was then going to (???) enter them on-line to some unknown "trusted government" database to see if I had committed any crimes.

Who then sent the whole package back to TX to another unknown bureaucratic group to accept the background check.

Yeah. No chance for corruption or ID theft there. /sarchasm

sarchasm n - a form of sarcasm that accentuates the chasm in the irony of a situation?

The converse, of course, is that if you are one of those unlucky persons with a name that's identical to a serial murderer or some other criminal mastermind, you have to carry around a letter that supposedly "proves" that you are not that person.
