A little bit of good news amidst all of the (deliberate) energy inflation by the Washington administration.

Today's email from the TX PE group reports that the decades-old yearly $200.00 tax on PE licenses is eliminated.

This will delays PE renewals as they straighten out the paperwork: Be careful of your license lap dates!

(Oh, by the way, there never was a $200.00/year renewal license fee. For lawyers. )

That is good news indeed. A leftover from the Ann Richards days in Texas and her crony lawyer friends.

Now August 28.

Still no mailed updates from the TX board.

Who pays for the engineering board in Texas then?

Income from, er, oil.

Got my renewal notic in the mail yesterday. Much nice to write that check for $40 instead of $240.
